The Carnation Company

This is where my parents met... The Carnation Company at Disneyland.
They were there as part of a big Catholic Church Group night ...they were also each there with another date when they sat down next to each other at the counter.

And, as they say...the rest is history.
They will celebrate their 45th anniversary in June.

Did you know the closed the indoor portion of the restaurant? It changed to be The Blue Ribbon Bakery, but the Carnation Company is still there, just patio seating only.

I love the Carnation Company. Maybe I'll find a hot one there.

Those old Disneyland days when you could get in for $15 were the greatest...I don't think you could buy beer there in those days or even if you can today but the Carnation ice cream joint was a cool hangout...Mom knew my friend's date...they went to the same church in Norwalk...it was love at first ice cream bite...
thanks for the 45 year reminder...Thinking about getting her a Porsche...
