In Good Company

A couple weeks ago I wrote about the Dove Pro Age Ads and mentioned that I was 43. A woman who read the blog (in Maryland!) sent me an email letting me know that there were LOTS of OTHER great people who were also born in 1963.
Among the names she listed:Vanessa Williams, Quentin Terantino, Mike Myers, Johnny Depp, Helen Hunt, Lisa Kudrow, Whitney Houston, John Stamos, Nicollette Sheridan, Courtney Love, Brad Pitt, Calista Flockheart, Matt Dillon and Teri Hatcher.
Thank you, Ms. Maryland.
I am, indeed, pleased to have something in common with this group of people!

THIS ONE IS FOR THE GIRLS...
We ALL passionately desire to be passionately desired...by the right person!
Seems that two sisters have compiled a book of real life situations with the "WRONG one". I happened upon their website a while back and ordered the newly released book tonight...they have a blog as well, encouraging women to write about their experiences with the wrong guy. The main point is that we ALL see the red flags (blankets/tents/tarps!) in relationships but we often choose to ignore the warning signs and stay with the wrong person, mostly because we fear being alone.
But being alone is far better than being with the wrong one. This book just might help you figure out if he could really be "the one". It also just might confirm for you that he indeed, is not.
Cause you kinda already know that, huh?

Allison has been encouraging me to read A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius for a couple of years now. I started it this week and it really is hard to put down. I brought it to read at the Volkswagen dealer today and was disappointed when they finished my car so quickly. I'm going to go try to finish it right now.
