It's the most wonderful time of the year

Our Spring Training weekend is just just two weeks away! And so I wrote a little song in celebration!

SING IT WITH ME...you know the tune...

It's the most wonderful time of the year
Oh the fans will be yelling
--the peanuts they're shelling
In both hands a beer!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

It's the hap-happiest season of all
Oh the cousins are meeting
what food we'll be eating
when the Dodgers play ball...
It's the hap-happiest season of all!

There'll be game scores for boasting
and hot dogs for roasting
we'll wear Dodger blue to the show
There's Vin Scully (oh glory!)
with tales and the stories
Of baseball games long, long ago!

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There be green hats for wearing
much laughter for sharing
Oh baseball is here!
It's the most wonderful time of the year

There'll be stretches for singing
Spring Training's beginning
Can't wait to see what the day brings!
There'll be home runs for cheering
The walls they'll be clearing
Won't leave til the fat lady sings!

It's the most wonderful time of the year
The cousins are glowing
And JOY will be flowing
The Dodgers we'll cheer!
It's the most wonderful time...
It's the most wonderful time...
It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I read that Matt Kemp believes he is going to have a 50/50 year. We of course have had people who in their careers have had 50 home runs or 50 stolen bases, but never both in the same season. There's been only a handful of 40/40 guys. If, and for now I'm going to think that's a big 'if', he does we may watch one of the best offensive seasons ever.
I do think the AL West is going to be one heck of a race.
