Tonight after work, while waiting with other Montage associates for the shuttle, I was texting Allison. It was a somewhat urgent matter, but after leaving her a message, I remembered that she was in her small group and would not be able to call me back. Instead, we texted back and forth a few times until we got everything resolved...and then the shuttle came.
Once in the van, a lady about my age said to me, "I saw you doing the text message thing. My kids keep telling me to learn how, but I told them I could not figure it out....I just don't want to learn another new thing--I told them that they can just call me!"
I said, "If your children spoke French, would you learn French?"

It's so brilliant! Why wouldn't you want to learn?
Like dad's line "This thing is smarter than most people!"
Great answer! I learned to text to talk to my kids, it helps SO much, until my daughter got her phone taken away at school for texting ME..HA HA!
She still is still texting me all day, but I love it!
My mom doesn't even have a cell phone!
Yes, I do owe you dinner, don't think I have forgotten. I was just talking about this with your offspring.
You will be receiving an e-vite shortly my dear. :D
Nice answer. Its so much easier than having a conversation.
Ma cher Julie,
Merci boucoup!
That's very clever! I can never think on my feet like that. I also can't text...I think I am the only one in my age group that doesn't use it constantly.
