One day in Amsterdam...

On my return trip from Kenya a few months ago, our team had an 8-hour layover in Amsterdam. Having spent two weeks eating beans, taking (infrequent) luke warm showers, and peeing in a hole, the sight of bakeries and breweries (and toilet paper!) was OH so GLORIOUS!
One of the team members sent me these pictures last night. It was fun to re-visit the day trip and remember how the little things were so delightful to us that day.
Like a cold beer...
the fabulous canals...
a hot apple pastry...
(and my "Amsterdam" Starbucks mug in that bag!)
the walk through the 'red light' district...
counting the breweries...
the great little stores...
the sweet little pub...
a little time at the park...
singing in the rain...
the lovely reminders of home...

museums and friendship...
and the things that are 'only in Amsterdam'.
Paved streets and sidewalks were welcomed sites for us this day!
What a treat! A day in fabulous Amsterdam...
We were so happy...cause we knew our next stop was home.
Thank you Michelle for the great photos!
