After spending a little time with Golden Mary today, the members of 'The Best Friends Racing Stable' (headed by Dave, of course) have made a decision--not to retire her--but to move her to Los Alamitos to see if she might just be better suited to run there! Dave spent quite a bit of time checking out Mary's knee, talking to the people at the stables and he really felt that she was much better than expected. She certainly didn't seem like a horse that was headed to retirement! She was happy and affectionate and seemed completely fine!
She'll make the move to Los Alamitos this week...and we'll go from there.
that, along with GREAT conversations on the drive up and back to Hollywood Park...and, of course, breakfast at the track...is really what being part owner of a race horse is all about, right?
