27 Dresses and more

I woke up at 4:30 today--as I always do--and even though it was my day off...I got up.
Quite literally before the crack of dawn I had gone for a walk, done two loads of laundry, read everybody's blogs and most of the newspaper and finished a pot of coffee. Then I wrote out all my Valentines, gathered together all the items I needed to get to my tax guy, paid all my bills, ordered group tickets to an Angels' game and vacuumed the house. I finished a book, watched the rest of last night's DVD, hopped in the shower and got dressed. It was now 10am.
It was going to be a long day.
So I called my mom and asked her to meet for lunch and then go see a movie. Gosh I'm so glad I did! We enjoyed some delicious Enchilada Soup at Chili's as I caught her up on the events of my world and thoughts in my head! She gladly took it all in...
Then we went to see "27 Dresses", which was really cute. The best part of the movie (besides incredibly gorgeous James Marsden) is the "Bennie and the Jets" scene. I laughed out loud and freaking loved their dancing and their wrong word singing! ("She's got electric boobs...") Reminded me of all the times Allison is the "lyrics police" to me when I am singing the incorrect words to a song! So funny!
Spent a little time at Barnes and Noble afterward (I could live there) and bought a beautiful new, thick journal. Came home and immediately filled up eight pages while eating my leftover sushi with Wally and the Beave.
So here's the thing...there's not always a lot going on in my life...but there is always a lot going on in my head. I forgot how great it is to let it all spill out onto paper.
Oh thank God...it's bedtime.
